Re: Marmite #2

Hi Martin,
It looks like you found a few.
A bit of work required there to get that to your usual very high standard.
If you get fed up, send it to me and I will give it a good polishing for you.
Cheers

Re: Marmite #2

Hi Martin, I am pleased to hear that.
What's the score with the swinging arm?
(It looks like you have fabricated it from layers of alloy sheet)

Re: Tuesday Night Regular Meeting at the Pitstop Cafe Stockton on Tees

Hi Steve My Prius has some of the best LED headlights on the market, I have them on all the time (old habit from driving Volvos). But even in daylight I can cast a shadow of the car in front, and can clearly see where my low beam is. At night I can come up behind a new BMW and all he will see is his...

Re: Fitting the YZF450 Radiator

Hi Gerrit, Well spotted, yes it was 4mm aluminium plate. Very solid, with about 5 mm clearance either side at the bottom where the fairing narrows. Iam waiting to see the next bit of progress on your project. I like the rear brake carrier and the idea of dumping the torque arm (as it is very close t...

Re: Tuesday Night Regular Meeting at the Pitstop Cafe Stockton on Tees

Hi Steve, LEDs are OK for MOT's as they have instant switching from dip/high, no flicker or start up delays. My mate installed a HID hi/low conversion on his ZZR14, bombing down a country lane at night, flicked on high beam. TOTAL DARKNESS! !!! While the high beam warmed up. Clean underwear required...

They are your brackets John, all tried and ok.
I will give them a good polishing before I send them to Martin.

Fitting the YZF450 Radiator

Its a lot bigger than the standard one, quite a few members have fitted them in various different ways. This is how mine is fitted, it requires no modification of the fairings (it clears them internally). This is the beast, they have over double the core thickness of a standard radiator. http://i120...

Re: At Last......Putting it back together

I took mine apart again, to take off the radiator fixing brackets, so I could make a set for my mate John Farley, so he can fit the YZF450 radiator when Martin finishes his 300cc motor for him. http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb456/500bernie/20181008_071007.jpg http://i1206.photobucket.com/album...

Tuesday Night Regular Meeting at the Pitstop Cafe Stockton on Tees

Tuesday night means my regular visit to the Pitstop Cafe. It was a bit quiet again tonight (getting darker and colder), but the darker bit was one of the main reasons I wanted to go. http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb456/500bernie/20181009_185726.jpg The headlight on my bike is crap, so while I ...
