Good idea for the spacer, the standard one is very heavy.

I wonder could you drill some holes in the spacer - like a baffle tube without weakening it's compressive strength too much?

Still getting used to the KR1s, It's great to hear the KR1s overtaking on full throttle - what a sound! TDR was worked hard to (Try to) keep up. Great fun swapping between bikes :P

Re: Hybrid project

For someone that claims not to like filing, you are doing an awful lot of it

Keep up the good work, it's nice to see a performance build - and the differences in assemblies between manufacturers.

Re: Frame decals - E1 by headstock

Hi Steve, I saw you post ages ago, and thought of it when I found this looking for something else :P Copied from another forum. The E code is a stamp on components that indicate they can be legally be fitted into a certain European country. Here's a list: http://www.belemc.com/en/page/Default.asp?pa...

Very similar to your bike now Phil - It reassuring to see and hear another one used on the road, I would be surprised if I see another KR1s on my local roads.

Re: First Impressions

I may have been a little hard on the KR1s I had tested it around the country lanes and had to be conscious of my neighbours. It had an ancient 160 rear tyre that had a screw in it - I did tighten it before each test run! Fitted an old but correct profile tyre now. Got it out for a proper run today -...
