Re: Not a KR, but......

Given the gap the second Suzuki opens up on each straight, I thought once passed it would retake him again. But apparently not. Great riding , thanks for posting

Re: Anyone have a KR250 for Sale?

A mate of mine has one for sale at a realistic price, but it's maybe too nice and original for what you want ? I'll point him over here. http://www.kr250.org/images/KR_stafford16a.jpg That looks really tidy, what sort of value are we talking about for KR’s . Last time I saw one this nice was in Jem...

That’s looking tasty, even your dog has his tongue out! Whats with the cling film on the headlight. Will the LED bulb pass the latest Mot directives?

Re: Urgent - RH exhaust / spannie needed for 1000 Bikes

I would google Metal fabricators close to where you live. Then pop the pipe in the car van bike, and pop around. It wont be long before you meet a sensible engineer or someone who can point you towards one. I did this for the cast iron fin repair on my vintage ped. Ended up at an Forge Ironworks. Gu...

Re: Pandora's box - Kr1s

The underseat tanks coupled with the fuel pump caused issues on the twins. Might not have affected the singles. In 2008 there was a recall for venting! Efficiency wise 70 mpg is reasonable, bit of a step change from the KR

Re: Pandora's box - Kr1s

Bikes looking really good. If its any consolation I get vapour lock on a 50cc Tekumseh lawnmower engine AND BMW had it as a problem on the early F650 / 800 twins ( one of my other bikes) Really noticeable when the tank is full when the vapour space is least.

Re: not rev'ing past7500

Do your kips vaves cycle when the ignition is switched on. Then do they open as the revs rise towards 7000rpm

Re: KR1S Project

My Red 1s has its MOT at the end of March. Its allways my first classic out after the winter hibernation. Over the last 3 years I have had fuel leaks on two of the start ups. 2017 and the Ethanol ate the fuel lines , so complete change. 2018 the small prime line to the lhs carb fell off. Great to se...
