Re: MCN

yep, had one fail.

the gears apparently do not align completly. from memory +/- 2mm of teath on one side was still like new because the teath never touched, the rest was gone.

Re: Facebook

If I search for something without the need to ask a question, just some quick info, and I come across a forum for which I need to register to see what google found, I'm gone. don't care it it has what I need.

Re: anyone recommend a crankshaft rebuilder

Hi jan thanks for the reply—-just so I’ve got it right———-are u saying to leave the pump in place and disconnect the outlet feed pipes from the intake rubbers and let them pump into supplied containers? Also should I block the holes after removing the feed pipes to stop them drawing air in and maki...

Re: anyone recommend a crankshaft rebuilder

that's a lot of work since you need to dismantle the entire right hand side of the engine, as the gear is on the inside. try taking out the lines at the intake rubbers, put bolts in it's place and let the oil lines drip their oil in little canisters if possible. or stick them into lines that go into...

EXHAUSTS OF JANBROS : http://users.telenet.be/jannemie/KR1-SF/9.jpg copies made on the outside of originals, by spotwelding plates on the joint and hammering them into the correct form, then cut them lose and weld the 2 halves together. Diameter is slightly bigger, but you lose the thickness of the...

Re: Hybrid project

I find that a very weird place to put it ?

Seems an "easy to damage place" in case of a crash, while there is so much space in between the frame .
and you are doing lots of stuff to save weight, and then you are gonna add, by welding extra studs and use long cables.

Re: HOW DO WE GET THE FORUM MOVING AGAIN

my personal view : the KR-community that still effectivly rides their bikes is probably too small to survive. Maybe it's time for a joint-venture with other 2-stroke fora like the tunning works or similar. If the forum simply becomes a place to search for original parts/rebuils, I' d lose interest q...

Re: HOW DO WE GET THE FORUM MOVING AGAIN

I for one would like to get the forum going but am afraid Facebook has taken over, only if you let it ... you can also say a big F*** Y** to M*** Z********* . it's realy not that difficult. Sometimes I miss things because I'm not filling his pockets, but than I just think that my pockets are still ...

Re: Time for some tlc on mine

I always think "hugh :?: " when I see a head gaskett.

Not once I have assembled a KR engine with one. Still can't think of any reason why anyone wouldn't O-ring there head or cylinders

Re: spraying engine ?

don't use plain spray can's. any drop of gas on it will eats it's way through it and there's no stopping it. all your work will be ruined very quickly.

Re: Easy USD front end for KR1/1S

forgot to say : ZX6 springs are too stiff in a KR, certainly for road use.
