Re: KR250A Rebuild

Hey Hilton
Ask lots of detailed questions as I have a second A in the garage that I have been collecting bits for over the last year or two. So your rebuild will be my workshop manual.......................................

Re: Photo upload test

I have my 8 page work list that keeps me occupied. Rotation is good - not all are registered although don't tell my local constabulary that. There are about 10 or so that aren't fully roadworthy or are projects. Sunday afternoons in summer are a lot of fun (for me but not the neighbours). Funny thou...

KR250 Heat Shield for top Exhaust

Hi All I am accumulating bits and pieces for my other KR250 (a project that will be a ground up resto) and have most of what I need to make a start. I even scored an awesome set of exhausts with perfect end cans off ebay from Japan for $40 (plus $260 postage.........). The one thing that is proving ...

That Old Decal Question and the Ebay Brochures

Hi Guys On eBay at the moment there are a couple of brochures for a KR250 and a KR250S A series. Firstly didn't realise there was two models. The decals are interesting in that the "standard" KR doesn't have the tandem twin tank decal and the S also has a KVSS decal on the dront of the fairing. The ...

Re: how can i tell what model my kr250 is?

'A' models delivered to Australia did not have bar mounted mirrors as they did not comply with local design rules. Australian A model KR250s have fairing mounted mirrors. The Australian market didn't homologate the cute little winkers either, they fitted little plastic covers and bolted on huge sta...

'A' models delivered to Australia did not have bar mounted mirrors as they did not comply with local design rules. Australian A model KR250s have fairing mounted mirrors. They will usually either be red and black (with a silver stripe between) and red Kawasaki with white tandem twin writing on the t...

Re: Carbs leaking

Mate had same problem - bought a set of replacement float needles and seats and all good. I ordered a pair of needle valves but they have arrived and are incorrect (too big). I stripped the carbs yesterday and found one of the needle valves was clogged up. I chucked the in the ultrasonic cleaner an...
