Re: Ignition switch or worse?

I hate electrics. Sounds like you still have a dodgy connection somewhere. Your 'new' wiring harness will still be 30+ years old, and connections that look good can sometimes fail through vibration. If it's cutting out dead, ignore all the circuits for lights/etc and just focus on the main ones. Hav...

Re: Ignition switch

Not sure, sorry. Try googling the partnumber, which is 27005-5041 I think. I bought a used one from Japan (with key) but they're all a bit worn after all these years.

Viktor kindly sent me my own copy today. The Google Translate app reveals that he was being very complimentary too!

Re: Start of the new Kr1s forum

Nice one Bernie, thanks for all the effort you're putting in !

I've joined - and later abandoned - so many bike forums over the years, but this one is definitely worth keeping alive.

Re: Bad Starting - Time to bight the Bullet

I hope you've fixed it. :P My own personal unscientific opinion is that any tiny deviation from 100% new and standard (dirt in carbs, degraded coil wiring, slop in timing gears, stale fuel, etc etc) contributes to the poor starting, so every tiny improvement in one area is a step in the right direct...

Re: Stafford Show Saturday

There was a standard KR1S on the local VJMC stand, and a modified one on the UK 2 Strokes stand. No tandem-twin, I didn't need to lob mine in the van as a last-minute filler this year.

Re: Bad Starting - Time to bight the Bullet

When I spoke to KR owners in Japan, they all agreed that it fixed or at least significantly improved things. Good luck!

Motor Klasszic

There's a great feature on the KR250 in this Hungarian bike magazine, written and photographed by KR owner Viktor.

Very kindly, he gives me and my website a little mention and has sent me a PDF of the article.

Thanks Viktor, I love this. 8)

Re: Tandem Twin Owners

Just giving this post a little bump, in the light of the new Forum Admin and the push to breathe new life into this forum. Give us all an update on your KR, especially if you've not posted about it before. I've not done a lot with mine since it was at the Donington Endurance Legends event ...

Re: Start of the new Kr1s forum

Nice one. I don't come on here that often, but it's always been a useful source of helpful knowledge and I hope that continues. I'll try to post more relevant stuff when I can. Best of luck Bernie ! I run my own 2-stroke forum, and it often goes quiet on there too. Facebook is part of the reason for...

Thanks Al, and Bernie.

It's a good idea to have 2 or 3 Admins, but I'm not volunteering, I've got my own forum/sites to work on.
