Re: Recommended grey importers for a KR250

I man a club stand ( Diff'rent Strokers ) at Stafford Show every October. We sometimes have a KR on display, though not this year (unless we get let down at the last minute and I have to take mine again  ). Bikes change hands during the show every year. Not necessarily the ones on display, in f...

Re: Recommended grey importers for a KR250

It's been a long time since I imported a bike direct from Japan, and the importers I used are no longer in business (shame, 'cos they were great). I've got no experience of any of the current importers. I've been watching KR's advertised on Ebay and elsewhere for years, there are some questionable b...

Re: Hoping to buy a KR250 - what do I need to know?

Thanks for the kind comments about my KR250 site, I'm afraid that it's very stale these days as I have no free time for either keeping it up to date or totally reworking it (which is what it needs). But I'm very pleased that people still find it useful. I still get regular emails from new ...

Re: KR250 oil lines?

You bought it then ! Nice one. 8) 2T banjos/bolts are very fragile in my experience, especially old ones. I don't have any spares I'm afraid and no easy suggestion for where to source them. It's highly unlikely that they'll be shared with any other model (welcome to KR250 ownership !) but you may be...

the manufacture did it as they should know best.
The manufacturer who binned the tandem-twin after a couple of years and reverted to a much simpler parallel-twin design...

Re: Anyone have a KR250 for Sale?

That looks really tidy, what sort of value are we talking about for KR’s . Last time I saw one this nice was in Jems at £4.5? Steve I've lost track of what he wants for this one to be honest. I know it was a bit cheaper than those that've appeared on Ebay, and is also a better bike too. What are KR...

Re: Anyone have a KR250 for Sale?

A mate of mine has one for sale at a realistic price, but it's maybe too nice and original for what you want ? I'll point him over here.

Re: Kr 250 A Blowing smoke using gear box oil quick

Sorry, I'm a bit late to this, but here's my 2p worth... I've always been sceptical as to the need to replace crank seals on a two-stroke that's been left standing. I've rescued quite a few neglected bikes over the years and always managed to get them running fine without doing it. However, if I kne...

Any ideas where my old KR is these days, as you seem to keep tabs on where they all are?
Sorry Gary, I've lost track.

Re: Donington Show

What show you boys n girls at next? Next official show will be Stafford in October. The organisers there clamp down hard on anyone starting a bike inside the halls though, and it's far too busy to ride anything there. Donington was pretty quiet and laid back. Hopefully we'll get enough vo...

You should have said, I'd have fired it up and you could have gone for a bimble round the paddock on it.

Donington Show

I had my old heap on display at the Endurance Legends event at Donington at the weekend, on the Diff'rent Strokers stand as usual. A few people were looking at it quizzically, wondering what it was... I didn't venture on track with it this time, just rode it round the paddock a couple of times...

Nicely done. Interesting pipes too.

Yet another owner who's lost the middle fairing panels though.
