I don't buy it any more but looks like there is an article on why you need a KR1S this week :P

Just read it as I get MCN through a Readly subscription. Its a bit of a waffly article. Reminding us again how fragile 1S are and alway budget on a 600 to £800 rebuild when buying. They also mention the plastic oil pump teeth failing, they have nicked that from the Bike review.

In testing they run the bike upto 12,000 rpm, braver than me. Overall its a bit of a neutral review

seems like more lazy journalism, these people seem to make a living from sitting on their arses and surfing the net, copying everything they see, i'd never heard of oil pump drives failing until I read the 'Bike' magazine article

You know it's cold outside when you trip over dog shit instead of standing in it.

If you get the mag, have a quick squiz at the "next month" page in this months edition.

Just grabbed the last copy of mcn from my local Sinsburys, couldn't believe that they had dragged up that Eric Sawford guy who was in the Bike magazine write up as well, he should change his name to Billy Bull***t, he reckons the original Kr-1 was £2500 new, I bought mine just one month after it went on sale and it cost me £2999, he also states that he has recently sold one for 'over £6000' he didn't mention whether it was a Kr-1 or an 's' model, don't think he knows the difference, and claims to have sold 'hundreds' of Kr-1's over the years when only 10,000 were made worldwide, so he must have sold nearly every Kr-1 and 's' imported into the uk, luckily i didn't buy mine from him, then, as in the 'Bike' article he says that unless you spend half your life servicing and fettling it the bike will fall apart just by looking at it! this guy needs to get a job in journalism, maybe working for the daily star, if I lived near St Neots I would be straight round to his shop with a list of questions demanding sensible answers, this guy is a pillock  ok, rant over.

Come on Pookie get off the fence, say what you mean!🏍👍

I didn't realise it was the same guy, but the feel of the article is identical.

Still on our own KR Kive resources there are some good period road tests not written by chimps!

Just got this months (November) practical sportsbikes, it's wrapped in cellophane with a copy of mcn so you can't have a quick flick through before you buy, there's no Kr-1r feature, but in the 'next month' section there's 'Kr-1r resto' mentioned, wonder how many more months will pass until the feature appears?

Yeah, that kr/ar 50 is very nice, there's a feature on a Suzuki Katana resto as well, as I own one of them it made up for the kr1r omission.
