KR1S pipes are easier to sort out than the original black chrome KR1 pipes which I believe, no one will touch now.

You can use high temp exhaust paint on the "S" pipes and get the end cans polished, fairly simply and inexpensively...Are your pipes rusty/dented/rotten?

The original finish on the KR1S expansion chamber's is black chrome, the same as the KR1.
No plater will put "used" pipes in their baths, so as Podman said, you are stuck with paints, or the more expensive ceramic coatings.

I stand corrected, ive seen a NOS set but they didnt look as deep and shiny as the KR items or black chrome Allspeeds on my LC.

One thing is for sure, its worth getting them done as the value of them seems to have risen dramatically in the last 6/12 months.
