KR ,Kayaba rear shock re-build?

Post by crazy »

Hi,

bought this Kayaba rear shock, nitrogen filled and don't know how it works ?
Manual or details would be great if some body knows?

No spring and has two adjustments , pre-load and another.
2 remote adjusters.

Was going to try and fit it to my Mito .
Cant seem to find a way of putting a pic of it?

Cheers

Hi there Crazy,

You need to upload pics to a photo sharing site like photobucket.com then insert a link into your post. Sounds an interesting unit.
Good luck wit the Mito.
Cheers Scott.

Scott.

yes it looks a great unit.
Presume the other adjustment is for the damping rate ?
Both adjustment are remote.
Being in the bush all the roads are bumpy, Mito rear spring is so hard.

I noticed a photo directly pasted on to a post , how is it done?
I tried this on a Mac is it easier on a PC?

As I said, you need to use a photo hosting site like photobucket. Upload your pics to there, then copy the "image" link and paste it into your message. When you do this correctly, the pic will be displayed in the message itself.

Sorry to say crazy, but that's for a KR250 Tandem Twin, and works on extension rather than under compression like most shocks. It's never going to work on your Mito in a million years.

Yeah its got ride height and preload if I remember correctly. Definately for a tandem. I have 3 more you can have if you want to collect em. \:D/
