Aprillia RS250 rear wheel

Post by Willie Eckerslike »

Has anyone ever fitted an Aprilia RS250 rear wheel into a KR1S before? Iam after a suitable 17" back wheel to replace the 18"er which is in my hybrid at the moment.

I can not get a suitable tyre any more in the correct 140 profile as no one is making them any more......

All the best

The RGV 17" rear is a very easy fit and the drawings for the spacers are all ready on this site. the RGV takes a 150 rear or u can squeeze a 160 on it as its 4.5 " wide. Also don't forget to raise the ride height to compensate for the smaller tyre as well. That info is on here somewhere as well.

I've got an RGV swinger in mine with an RS250 wheel, however, I beleive that Spannerman may also have an RS wheel in his with the standard swinger.

Oh, If it was only that simple, its going in this YPVS/KR1S hybrid

If it can be done then I will go with the 17" wheel

Yup, Martin is a mate of mine and has built an virtually identical engine to the one that is in his NSRD and also made a set of pipes to suit the tune.

Its running TDR250 reed cage, 6mm reed spacers, PWK28's with a full engine rebuild (new internals, crank, powervalves etc

Hoping for about 65BHP at the back wheel when it is finished.

Its currently with KAIS who are revalving the forks and shock and then need to get the jetting sorted for SATT on the first of July.
