Post by headcoats »

After looking at getting the KR1S wheel in the rgv swinger now i will need a bearing with 20mm inner and not the 17mm of standard but obviously need to keep the same outer.
Is this possible to get ?

Other way will be sleeving i guess

Have you tried here? Bung in the sizes in the search on the left.

I was looking at the KR1S wheel and one problem is that the KR rear axle is 17mm and the RGV 20mm,ideally if i changed the bearings from 17x40x12 to 20x40x12 that would be great but they don't make them in that size
Other way would be to sleeve over the 17mm spindle but when you tightened the wheel the 1.5mm wall of the sleeve would crush ?

Any ideas

Mate reckons only way is to have one end 20mm d. down to 17mm for the bearings then down to 16mm threaded for a top hat spacer threaded with an outside of 20mm :-k

I've had the same problem using a 20mm spindle in the front wheel, i solved it by using 37x20x12 bearings and having a sleeve fitted into the wheel to take up the od difference, if you contact nigel at NK racing he can supply the sleeves and bearing at a reasonable price, made mine for me
