Shaving a Speedo Drive Down

Post by headcoats »

I need to lose about 1.5mm off the speedo drive to get the KR1S wheel in RGV 250 forks. (to get wheel central)
Question is do i get it removed off the oiutside face or go the other way but you would have to mod 3 faces on the inside, the spacer, outside edge of the speedo body and the stepped collar that clips in the wheel to drive the cogs for the cable :?
I don't think taking it off the outside is the way to go as it could weaken it :?
Can it yer old boiler
