Hi can anyone tell me how much free play (end float) should there be in between the frame and swing arm? mine seems to be excessive!

Are the service tolerances not in the manual?

I can't find them, but all the bearings are new, it just seems a bit on the extreme side to me!

Do you have a Kr1 or Kr1s?
The only reason I ask is my Kr1 has a washer that fits between the swing arm & frame (not sure if the Kr1s does?)
It may be this that is causing excessive play

general wear and tear will make things loose over time,
[have you got the end caps on either side of the swing arm]
if it was me. i would get some washers to take the gap up.
but double check the chain alignment
current bikes
fully restored green/white kr1 b2

It's just kawasaki tolerances if you have all of the seal washers in atc.
Tighten it up or shim it to take up the space will help it handle
Hardcore you know the score

a swing arm should have some tolerance. the question of course is "how much is some"
My ultimate goal is to die young as late as possible !

Mine was the same. All new parts and all the parts fitted correctly. When the shock was fitted, rear wheel etc everything tightened up.
