Stock rear spring rate for an 'S

Post by philfingers »

Does anyone know the stock spring rate for a KR1-S please?
I'm looking at fitting a penske shock, tho the std bike (929 blade) uses a 850lb spring, so the penske will be in the same ball park I guess

Stock kwak spring calculated rate is 6.5kg/mm

7.7kg/mm seems to work nicely for me at 11.5 stone rider, fast road / trackdays

i went for a 425lb spring from Faulkner, in 7" length. Cost £24 from JJC Race and Rally inc postage. Seems right to ride.
