You need to do a stem swap, so you'll have to get some spacers machined to fit in the ZXR yokes to accommodate the KR-1S stem.

Appologies for the pictures, I don't have any of the yokes before I fitted them.

In the first picture you can see the bottom ZXR yoke, spacer and KR-1S stem.

In the second picture you can just about see the spacer for the top yoke and the familure KR-1S top nut.

Hope that helps.

Jarno, if you do asearch , you'll propably find about 100 topics concerning ZXR forks.

don't forget there is a difference between H and L forkes/yolkes.

If you are going down the zxr400 route, you need the complete front end from a H model or L model.

The H yoke has same size diameter stem to kr1/s but 2/3 mm longer

The L model has a larger diameter stem. You need to have a stem swopped from a kr1/s onto the L yoke by an engineering company. See Mr Luders pics above

The difference in forks is the L i believe are slightly larger diameter where they pass through into the yoke. The L has longer 'fingers' where the fender mounts

The L wheel is slightly wider than the H!

or do you want 5 spoke kr1s. kr1s will Need modding!

The H model is easier to install, ie no engineering required. (washer/spacer top of triple clamp) But these are getting old and the L is more common.

Dont forget to mod the lock stops!

As Jan says do a search
