Replacement tyres

Post by Binetta Steve »

Hi sorry this is probably such a repeated question but when i have looked back on the forums , the recommendations eg BT090 are no longer available in 140

Im looking to replace the old dunlops on my C3
Stock should be 110/70/17 rear 140/60/18
I will be only be doing road riding , no track days ( im too old and reactions arnt acute enough). Ill replace front and rear together so no compatibility issues.

What should i go for ?

Thanks in advance

Steve

They do the BT090 in a 150 as far as I'm aware Steve and that size is fine on a 1S

Thanks guys , there is lot of discussion re 150 v 140 in terms of handling. Does it really make any difference to the feel of the bike ?

Steve, I race KR's and my first season before I had 17" rears I ran BT090 150's on a very under powered bike and as a novice ran 1:53's round Cadwell.

Regarding the 150/60/18 what would you recommend for the front
110/70/17 or 120/60/17

Ive used 120/70's for more than 15 years now. track and road.
My ultimate goal is to die young as late as possible !
