Electrical Battery fault

Hi thought id ask for some advice regarding my bike.
Went for a ride today only to find my indicators not working properly.
I checked under the seat to have a look at the battery only to find it quite hot and mis shaped.
I only bought it a couple of months ago and its one of the yellow gel motobatt types.I first thought it must be a faulty one so replaced it with one out of my Suzuki VJ21 250.Anyway this didnt seem to help and even when going for another ride the indicators arnt working right.
Have you any ideas guys
