what needs lockwire

Post by martin »

question for the racers.
as you know I am building a track bike.
it wont be for races, just the odd track day.

gear oil filler / gear oil drain bolt. [anything else]
as there were other parts
wired before, things like r clips /pad retaining pins/brake caliper to fork
bolts[/img]
current bikes
fully restored green/white kr1 b2

That's it Martin. Where R clips are used, lock wire them. I use an R clip through the castle nut on the rear axle for example.
You need to fit a shark fin as well.

No it's mandatory for a race bike competing in any FIM or ACU event.

If this bike is just to be used on track days, you won't need one and you won't need to lock wire anything either.

ACU regulations do not apply to track days.
