blinkers won't blink

Stupid question coming up. :? When the KR250 is not running its turn signals will not blink. They light but do not blink. The battery is new and full . When the flasher relay is unplugged they go out. It will not be ready to run for a while. When the flasher is installed in a nearby Yamaha it flashes its sigs. Heres the stupid question, is there a reason that the sigs wont blink when the bike is not running? I do have another relay coming.

Hi Pepsi,
Sounds like a bad connection/bad earth
I would take the bulbs out one at a time and clean / check the connections. Then check the plugs, then the main earth connection.
Mine did the same (I thought the battery was on it's way out, turn out to be front right indicator connections furred up).
Cheers
Bernie :)

Thanks after I get the new relay, I will look into it. [-o<

FYI, I bought a electronic adjustable relay, as the front sigs have another wattage bulb from stock because of the customization.

I did some testing , it seems the bulbs I have to use with the custom front sigs do not use enough power , 7.5 watts compared the stock 23 to trip the stock relay, I hope the adjustable one will do the trick.

depends on the type of blinkerbox. if it's still a traditional it won't help. buy an electronic one (suited for Led's), they always blink thesame, no matter what type of bulps.
