KR250A Battery?

Everything I ever found only lists batteries for KR1 onwards, is the battery in the KR250A the same? Same size? I can use a YB4L-B? I know they don't need a battery but I'm sure it would come in handy for something even if it's just filling up space under the seat

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Yes, the battery is the same fitment as in the KR1. Sure, you can start and have the bike run without a battery, but it's not something I'd ever consider doing as a permanent thing on a road goind bike.

Proper battery for the KR250A is a YB4L-A - same size and rating as a YB4L-B but the vent pipe is on the other end. Less common fitment, so harder to find on the shelf and sometimes more expensive.

I replaced my old battery with a GS CB4L-A last year and it works just fine. Bit of a tight fit, but everything goes where it should!
