In the KR world, "The Jigsaw" actually refers to a complete actual KR250 in bits that a mate of mine (who already had a working KR  ) bought to rebuild, then passed to me when he couldn't face it. I was tempted but then another guy (who already had a working KR too  ) bought it. I never actually owned it but it did live in my garage for a few months.

You mean an actual jigsaw puzzle don't you Doug ? I've got one...

Didn't want to sell my last one Tim, but lack of funds dictated it. Things aren't much better now, so buying a KR simply isn't an option...

dougindoors wrote:Well emailed DVLA 3 weeks ago about the dating mail from KHI have I had a reply, bugger all. I think it's just a building full of pc's and not a human amoungest them. Lol. Keep thinking about selling the old girl and the spares as a job lot, think I have run out of enthusiasm, a 5 nearly 6 year love affair is wearing thin, so any offers? You could be lucky, px's possible. And no a quid won't buy her lol. Please bear in mind I have spent over £2500.00 in parts and the initial purchase of her that's without the 100's of hours labour
Well I did manage to speak to DVLA the other day couldn't believe it they still haven't responded to my mail, so I ask the very helpful chappy, would an email from KHI in Japan confirmining the frame and engine no. Allow me to register the old girl, his reply was yes. Good to go cut out Kawasaki UK and the £53 pound charge. Happy days =P~

It's been to long and she deserves to be finished, pics of progress to follow. :D

well I have had the tank professionally repaired just couldn't get the shape quite right, had a small dent on the top LH side as there are a real complicated shape going on there I gave up after 5 attempts at shaping it, now like new in primer, took the guy 11 hours, at least I can now wrap it in cling film put in the tap and fill it with fuel, to start to it after the crank spline repair. If that don't work I will either be looking for 2 A2 cranks with dampers and good big ends or spend £300 on each crank to get the splines redone. Own an old kr you need the bank account of bill gates, we'll come August it's been 7 years, do I have the itch to move on? Hell I have thought about it, but she is like my child. How do you part without a conscience, would have probably cost me less in maintenance payments if she had need a kid lol. I now need the kick up the back side to start wet flatting all the panels for top coat, now there lies the problem. Maybe need to sell a few spares to fund the remaining work?
