Great to see you back on it Doug! The colour looks amazing, a professional job! Top effort mate! When there is a will, there is a way, isn't that what is said? Can't wait to see the final product!

Cheers, Fanis

Thanks fanis, now the carb rebuild, has been standing for 4 weeks with the fuel tap on and carbs leaking and over flowing, good job I just purchased two carb rebuild kits, more work, still waiting for my mate to finish the prep on the fairing, it's a bit like watching paint dry lol.

So when's she's done and registered, with the spares any one interested? Bit like an airfix kit when finished what do you do with it, missus won't let me bring it into the house and I can not bear the thought of her just sitting in the garage, so offers or swops ? The AR125 is calling lol

Well after the obligatory 5mins of kicking over, she started on 1 then 2 as a normal KR does, carbs have been set as per the manual after the rebuilds, but idle to low, I increased the throttle stop screws a bit at a time equally, but the idle is all over the place, reving at 3k for a couple of mins then settling down, but almost stalling, give the screws a little move then rev up goes the idle speed again. Rode her up and down the road no probs pulls well and don't bog down. Slowly getting the hump, AR's on the ramp KR's in the naughty corner. Any pointers on the idle problem appreciated, before I rip it's heart out again and find another type of engine that fits. Here endith the rant

You might have a small air leak on the intake side, if the revs are climbing unprompted. Check the rubber trumpets, they've probably gone hard and don't seal well.

the rear carb has a vacuum line to the petcock, is it attached or cracked?

All new, gonna her her out tomorrow and have a spray around, starting to do my head in again, she's not burning gear box oil any more just hope it's not the seals on the water pump/generator side, they are new, but who knows, a breaker? Not just yet but you can only go on for so long before the patience runs out.
