ok guys update:

so she fires up! big woo hoo! ridden her but is a bit sluggish until about 5000rpm then jets off like a rocket! had to go back to original bars as ones on it were off who knows! cause if you turned to the left brake lever would hit fairing and brakes would come on (not very smart from previous owner) put new bolt kit on fairings as was a mix match of crap everywhere! though she tends to blow a heap of smoke from front cylinder??? any ideas?

=D> thanks, any ideas about the billowing smoke from front cylinder? it seems to be getting less and less, maybe because she was sitting for a while?

Yes ta ! :D Looks very nice. Might add 'em to my site, but also thinking about setting up something a bit more interactive, make it easier to maintain, it's got a bit stale.

Check your kill and side-stand switches. If not either of those, I'd have a look at the stator.
