S fairing stay & fairing brackets

Post by rgvlee »

Hey all, hoping a few of you can shed some light on the upper fairing stay for me. I am about to start repairing a few bits of fairing and want to make sure everything is straight - bracket wise - before I begin.

Is the lower mount point meant to be on an angle compared to the upper mount point? Was kawasakis quality control a bit dubious on these? The photo makes it look a lot worse than it actually is.

Here's a fairing stay to compare yours with.

thanks mate

any more guys?

the fairing stay that I posted is meant to be new old stock

I have a damaged fairing stay that is similar with the angled lower mount. looking at the bracket, it's a pretty solid point, and it would be really obvious if it had been repaired.

Bumping this one again

Any more input? I need to know if I have to repair the fairing mount before painting. It's even more critical for me as I have had to have the top headstock mount repaired due to previous damage so I have no idea how far off I am.
