KR1S paint dimensions Tank and front

Post by sharky »

In the process of getting my bodywork repainted and my sprayer man needs some dimensions if someone can help

Image

A, B and C are all the dimensions of the green triangle on the tank
D is the distance of the triangle from the bottom corner of the tank - the corner of the tank (not the seam)
E is the width of the green at the edge of fairing under the headlight
F is bottom of green to the break at side of H/L
G is the width of the break st side of H/L

finally if i can get the width of the white boarder around the rear number board?

phew, i'm sure i'll ask loads more, but thats a good start

any help would be great as its being painted rather than stickered

pictures after its done with a slight twist and hugely expensive rebuild will be posted

Cheers

Re: KR1S paint dimensions Tank and front - green black

Hi Sharky,

I haven't got a green/black KR1S, but I guess the dimensions at the fairing are the same:

E: 140mm
F: 42mm
G: 70mm

have you tried Signs Services?

Here's a topic on them:

I bought 2 sets (one for my red/gray, one for a green/white KR1S) from them as they were selling on Ebay UK, they were cheap and good.

Perhaps you could ask them if they are wiling to offer their stuff on the commercial sale section here?

Sign services can also do you a set of number boards for the back - I had their prototype set but never got round to fitting them and now they have been sold! here is a pic:

right, ordered all the decals (£40) from the image works just need the missing dimensions if anyone can grab a tape measure to their bike when you get a second

i'm having the number boards sprayed and lacquered for a deep shine and i may as well come out in the open now as its not going to be green and black but black and zeus blue

its a japanese import and whilst it has a horrific out of a can spray job on the frame and bodywork there is enough evidence that it is in fact an original zeus blue bike - in the UK no less

i'll start a project thread asap but at the moment its just a pile of bits as i've been rather busy in the garage stripping it down into clean, coat, replace and rebuild piles

should look nice when its done even if its not gonna be cheap
