KR1-S Best aftermarket pipes

Looking to leave my new acquired bike standard other than a set of aftermarket exhausts anyone know whats the best set too run with ???

Just get some custom ones made, there are too many negatives with off the shelf pipes.

Whoes the best to use Iam In Newcastle?? Also bike is out the packet as new 1500 miles on it one owner from new, not sure if I trust someone messing with it !!

You'll lose peak power unless you raise your exhaust ports and even worse, you will need to chop your belly pan around becuase they are too fat!

If it's in great origional condition I would leave it alone .. The stock S pipes are pretty good as they are and unless your mad keen on saving weight .. New pipes are not worth the cost / hassle. I would leave stock and enjoy

What about just changing end cans mainly for looks !! any problems with running issues was thinking tyga ones ????

Changing exhausts doesn't make as big a difference as people think or believe, unless they are custom.

Changing your end cans will be a purely cosmetic move.

Fitting JL pipes people think you need to change your jetting. In reality, unless you raise you exhaust ports, you'll lose top end hp over standard pipes.

I have spent a while looking at the exhausts on the KR-1S and can genuinely say, I can make at least 5bhp over standard with the design Lozza and I came up with.

Two people on here know this from their own dyno experience.

From my testing and experience the best aftermarket pipes are either Lomas or Jolly Moto. I have also tested 3 or 4 other makes but all lost power relative to stock KR-1S and gave no significant benefit elsewhere in the rev range to compensate.

On standard barrels both Lomas and the Jolly Moto will give a significant boost to midrange from memory of the order of 5hp. They both appear to knock off 2hp at the top end. For Road use and occasional trackday I would say they are a good choice. The Jolly Moto are a better fit then the Lomas so (again from memory) avoid the belly pan issue. With the Lomas pipes to avoid the belly pan melting you will need to create a heat shield.

I have yet to see any pipe significantly improve on stock KR-1S pipes at the top end.

Any one any figures on Nikon pipes got a set with my bike never fitted them left standards on it would be nice to know if nikons any better???
