Carb Sizes on 1S and 1R
Could someone please tell me why there is a massive jump in carb size from 28 mm on the 1S to 35 mm on the 1R?

Re: Carb Sizes on 1S and 1R
because the S is for street use and the R for racing.
35's are better for high rev's, 28's are better low down and provide enough throughout the entire rev range.
