Soooo....
After laughing for a while at what's happened,
Does anyone know the sizes of the countersunk screws that attach the pulleys to the valves?
And who loctites them?
Or do you use another similar thread lock compound?
They must have worked loose, I'm not saying I know when they went, but I'm fairly sure I was driving it for a while. Ahem
Cheers Martin.
Power valve linkage shake fest.

Re: Power valve linkage shake fest.
I decided to loctite them, figured I didn't want to tighten them too much knowing how fragile the arms are so they need a bit of extra help.

Re: Power valve linkage shake fest.
Thanks Bernie!
What a laugh it was, I was thinking, this is weird, I'm not really feeling much hit at high rpm, and I thought, hmmm, maybe I've cooked it chasing that fiesta, but I gave it the berries along the single track to my house and it still cracked 80 with ease.
And as the weekend came I thought, perhaps a check of the dangly bits...
Not those ones.
And they were hanging off.
Again not those bits, but the linkage on the left hand cylinder.
So words of advice.
Check your dangly bits.
Martin.

Re: Power valve linkage shake fest.
This has also happened to me I now use m4 brass screws longer than you need And m4 nuts.
I then thread lock and then cut off the softer brass screws carefully with sharp snips so as to leave the end crimped to stop the nuts unwinding through the vibration.
Hope this helps Martin
