bernie500
did a lot of measurements to do step like this, and to make it more simple I decide to keep original kips
you can see how much aluminium meat left on bridge between exhaust and kips
biggest problem till now is boost port..still measuring if possible to dig boost without entering waterspace
rough grinding done, now I would like to hear suggestions which kind of porting forumers would do?
my plan is to make same std timing with a bit of staggering of transfers as I did on other sleeved std, worked excellent till 6-6500 with a bit of hole, after progressing without problem as standard ported

as proud owner of rg500 I wouldn't recommend 500cc two stroke above 2 cylinders for everyday use
my dream is rotax 494 or similar in kr frame..

If I were you I would hand it over to Mick Abbey to sort out, you would end up with a reliable rocket, are you going to have pipes made to suit the motor? (Both Mick and Kenny make great pipes).
Cheers
Bernie :)

trying to set the barrels to fit everything else, rough works done, day after tomorrow I'll put barrels on crankcases to finalize angles...but some epoxy filing has to be done inside transfers to have flow direction proper

sorry for not being up to date cause i had other occupation, several enthusiasts did a tomos mopeds race, where I was involved, so some moped tuning was done...
won the first race in my class, won all classes, and had best lap :D .. in first race
second race tight second (other guy had watercooled morini barrel and motoplat)..and ran out of fuel  (but not only me)
third race second again..until crank wear between bearing and shaft did a gap so my contact ignition was almost without gap and finished securely 6th
not bad for first time

I briefly rode the Stan Stephens KR1 350 a few times. It did away with the KIPS, but still had good grunt coming out of corners, however, it never stayed together long enough to be a viable project as it kept on seizing, although I don't recall that it had liners
