in need of carburation guidance.

Post by frodge »

hey y'all it has taken me a while to find everyone but its all ok now.
i am in need of the wealth of experience which is abound on the internet , i have a kr1 which i have fitted a kr1s engine into as my crank was bust , unfortunately it didnt come with the carbs so i only have my kr1 pair , is there anyone who can tell me the differences between them and if i can make mine run the kr1s engine.
thanks.
one of these days i will finish this project and prove them all wrong.

I believe 1 & 1s carbs are the same, not sure about the jetting though but that's not really a hassle anyway.

all info you need is in the manual. if you don't have it  http://www.kr-1s.co.uk/manual/

just put on KR1S pipes, change the jettings to S-specs and done

Just get the 1s pipes painted up and stick them on. Use Black Bar-b-Q (Halfords) paint its cheap and looks great and then rejet. The bike will be about 5BHP up :-)
