Clutch dragging

Post by Stealthquattro »

Hiya gents
Please could someone help me
This kr1 crutch is dragging that much it's impossible to get into nutral .
It looks like I may have a washer missing..
Is there a thin washer in between the big toothed washer and the main basket?
I know the big tooth washer goes inbetween the basket and the inner basket plate as you can see the race indent
And is it just a cerclip on the end when it's all assembled
Sorry I will send a picture
Many thanks

Hi,

Your clutch thrust washer is worn (the serrated one).

If it hasn't already been done you can turn it over and it will be like new again.

Easy to sort buy a clutch hosing gasket and some fresh oil !! Drain it remove plates and file the fingers on the basket nice flat clean and even !! No more drag and neutral will be easy to find !! Make sure you buy a brand new circlip for the clutch basket !!! Still available to buy.
