just finished stripping your engine steve.
bearing has gone big time. and because of that, piston has hit the head,
engine has been apart before, give me a ring to discuss a plan of action.

Ooohh dear, is that caused by parts of the bearing hitting the head, as it doesn't just look like piston damage??

am open to sugestions.
am guessing it was the bearing that has allowed the piston to hit the head,
or as you say paul, it could of been some debris from the bearing floating about,

I am also thinking you may be correct paul. as the big end bearing seems fine, so maybe the piston did,nt kiss the head,

We often see pictures of Martins work part way through, gorgeous aqua blasted cases, newley scrubbed and plated bolts. Thought id add a new perspective, how it feels after he has blue printed the engine.

Im still taking it easy , as only 100 miles since new pistons rings in the old cyls. What is noticable is the improvement in low end torque. It really punches out of corners and doesnt bog down. Im still staying below 9000 so can realy feel this bottom end improvement.

Great job Martin.
