I sent BDK a good crank for new bearings & seals - rods were fine, they replaced the centre but I provided the part (I bought one off them ages ago) they charged £187.32 - I was well pleased and will be sending them more.

I think I may phone them Monday.
I sent them 4 cranks, as the two they were rebuilding. they said need some webs. so they used the webs off the spare cranks I sent them.
both cranks had new centre shafts.
so £187 each crank+£70 new centre shaft= £260x2 =£520 +£50 as he said they charge £25 for each of spare cranks to split them down. :-k

I would say they have made a mistake.

I've stripped it down checked the teeth on the clutch basket gear, crank seems fine etc etc the only thing I've found is I'm a clutch plate missing. I've rebuilt it but I'm waiting for my f3 valves and clutch parts to arrive and I'm also having a go at machining some S power valves for the centre ports.

The power valves were all set up wrongly too so I'm hoping she goes a bit better when rebuilt. :)

So it was the clutch after all.
are you gonna fit new pistons?
what oil are you gonna use (gearbox and 2stroke)?

I'm still not convinced its the clutch as I said the tone didn't change, although I hope it is! gearbox oil will be ATF and 2 stroke oil will be a putoline variant. Pistons and rings are fine.

did you check if the big gear at the back of the clutch basket is still tightly fixed to it ?

Is the primary fixed directly to the back of the basket?
On Kawasaki triples they are riveted together with a hidden cush drive between the two parts that can cause some nasty noises when worn.

Yep that's the same as on the AR125, the hidden Cush drive can wear allowing movement and a 'clattering' noise when ticking over. The noise goes away when the revs pick up / under load :D
If it takes more than 2strokes then your just playing at it..

but if it is missing a plate, it can not possibly transfer the power ??? so basicly you shouldn't be able to run full throttle ?

Bit of a long shot but have you checked your balancer gear is aligned with the crankshaft gear?

And that the bearings on the balancer are all ok?

I did that once, and this isn't the same.

the balance wrong by 1 teeth makes the bike unridable and actualy turns the hole bike into a vibrating plate

Ok so I might not be a clutch plate missing, in the manual it states 7 friction plates or 8 depending on how you read it. I took it at 7, the photo in the manual shows 6. So I take it its 6 then?
