ive use Off Road Only (ORO) in wales before, they stock all putoline products, the range of Putoline 2 stroke oils is a bit bewildering, they have quite a few fully synthetics/high quality oils.

I know its a bit over the top,is all you want is "semi/fully synthetic injector/premix and race use",also there gear oils are many. :D

don't know where you read that, but I would stop reading those pages ... :-k

this is what Putoline recommends for our KR 8) :

http://www.putoline.com/en/products/pro ... 1990-1992/

and if you click on the RS959, you won't reed off road"

it says "racing oil ... for bikes/carts/scooters" . what's wrong with that ? There are races for scooters you know, and they to need to use quality oil

True, nothing wrong with that, but it would be clearer to the buyer if it just said "2 stroke Racing use".
It wasnt long ago that Putoline had 6,yes 6 fully synthetic 2 stroke oils all listed as the latest in 2 stroke technology,
here's the list not sure if you can still get them
MX5 - Grand prix Motocross and other off road
MX7 - rae proven competition (doesnt say if premix only)
TT extra - Grand prix spec pre- mix
TT extra injector - for high performance Road use
MHX - Ultimate rface proven GP oil
and RS959 - which says its octane stabilised and suitable for premix only at 25 to 50.1 and not to be mixed with any other oil.
I dont get the "off road" use,i mean a GP125 MX rider can and will hold the motor at sustained high rpm where'as Billy novice on a CR250 will barely get off 1/4 throttle so completely different requirements despite "off road".
Maybe the quick boys use the "road race" stuff.

Couldnt find putoline locally so have gone for Castrol power 1 racing. Its available from oilman but also my local halfords, who every now and then do silly discounts on oils. So plan is to snap some more up when price is right.

Thanks for all the banter and advice

Castrol power 1 [or as it used to be called. tts] is a good oil, that's what I have bought ready for when I start up my kr1.
