Hi Martin,

They have done that for years over in Holland (Parked cars with holes in the doors and wheelie bins on the side of the road) but the local radio stations used to broadcast the locations in text on the RDS radio system if you rang in and told them.

Just another money spinning exercise, a patrol car parked at the accident black spot would have been a more honest and practical solution.

Cheers,
Bernie

PS. Did you know that from October 1st, it is illegal to smoke in a vehicle if there is someone under eighteen years of age in the vehicle?

The problem is that if you went to court to contest the manner by which you had been caught speeding (a hidden camera) it would not detract from the fact that you were speeding! As such you would most likely just end up with a bigger fine :(
It is big money and it will only get worse, the only place you can feel safe to ride your bike to your own limits without worrying about a speeding ticket is on the track, or change your bike for a FS1E or SS50 or similar type bike that limits the opportunity for you to break the speed limits.
:(

I have to agree. Using a half decent sports bike on the road as it was intended is going to get you in trouble. My R1 days are long behind me and riding a 250 on the road is much more fun.
The law is the law but motoring offences are easy pickings. Human rights etc. will have a bigger say in non motoring offences but lets not get into that and I wouldn't compare the two types of offence.
The solution is responsible use of a bikes performance. We all know where the speed cameras are, on the most enjoyable roads at the quickest point, just beyond a blind bend. If you get caught it's not the fault of the police. In fact they have outsmarted you. So don't get out smarted, be safe and have fun.

The only time I ride on the road now is to take the KR for its mot so I thought I was safe till I got nicked on the M6 toll when I overtook an unmarked Audi who was tailing a nob(plods words) in an Audi because he was driving like a nob, that said I did wind it up to 120. Bad boy prosecuted for driving at a recorded speed of 111mph for 46 seconds covering 1.78 miles. 6 points, £485 fine inc costs. I'm a dumbass
