New Two-Stroke meeting : Midlands

Post by StrokerBoy »

Paul Wilshaw, pub-owner and two-stroke nut is hoping to get a regular meeting going at his place. First one is on Sunday 2nd September. 12pm till 7pm, food available.

All strokers will be made very welcome, please give him your support if you can. Long way for me but if the first one is a success I'll chuck a couple of bikes in a van for the next one. =D>

Sawbridge road, Grandborough, Warwickshire CV23 8DN. For further details contact Paul on 01788 810306.

Best cover your pushbike in WD40 before you set off then, make sure it doesn't rust...

I am intrigued a h***a faster than a green thing..... bring it on :D

So far the Blue corner Suzuki (and their Italian cousins) have had a pop at us and failed on race tuned machinery- albeit I think we were lucky as both Colin and Steve had problems. Suzi did claim the fastest road bike crown at Brunters - Craig Millners immac RGV did 135.summit mph.

After Bonneville I think that the Green camp can claim the fastest road bike crown from Craig M (RGV250). Craig's was the fastest road legal 250 at Bruntingthorpe though it had plenty of aftermarket stuff on - at Bonny we ran a stock spec bike and went nearly 2mph faster (the faster bit is over a full mile - not peak speed as at Brunters - I reckon peak at Bonny might have been 2 to 3mph higher as revs went up and down a bit over the mile as wind and salt conditions varied). The Bonny speed is a harder target measure than the Brunters peak.

May have a ride over tomorrow and have a pint (on a push bike)

The 350 production record is held by a Yam at 128mph. I think 350 Yam that was at Bonny this time couldn't get over 118mph.

A 350 Yam powered streamliner went 195mph - took Don Vesco's old record.

I turned up with an expansion chamber :)

Flutes KR/RGV hybrid is a very tasty bit of kit :D

I saw 2 KR's + Flutes - told theer were more earlier.

A few RGV, plenty of RD three H1 and H2 couple of X7 and an X5. reckon there must have been about 60 ring-a-dings

Is that Garys KR1S , the green black one with white wheels and gold fork legs? Looks like a nice selection of bikes there. Any plans for another meet? Might try and make the effort next time.
