CLASSIC BIKE JAPFEST

Post by Nick »

Hello, i hope you will excuse this intrusion onto your excellent and active site but the Taunton and Bridgwater section of the VJMC are holding a Classic Bike Japfest at Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford, Somerset. On September 15th 2013 and we would like to invite you as a club or as individuals to attend. It is a one day show but does have free camping for all exhibitors, the only criteria being is that the bikes must be of Japanese origin and at least fifteen years old.

This is a professional show and all the bikes will be housed inside the museum, and if successful in it’s first year we will be building on it to make it bigger each time.

You nor or club has to be a member of the VJMC.

It would be a pleasure to have your club ''invade'' us, eithier showing or just visiting.

For all exhibitors you will also have free entry to Haynes Motor Museum which houses the largest collection of classic cars in the country.

For full details and entry forms please go to www.japfest.net or contact me with any queries at nick@japfest.net

We hope you will attend and look forward to meeting you.

Kindest regards

Nick Watson.

Thanks for posting Nick. Sounds like it could be a good event for KR owners down in the south west. For me, it may be a little too far and i need to check but I think the date clashes with Squires Two Stroke festival which I've promised myself I'm going to try to get to this year..

Sure theres others on here that may be interested and i hope it goes well 8)
If it takes more than 2strokes then your just playing at it..

Clashes with the "Bratislava Pissup" I'm organising with the lads, so sadly I can't come, but good luck.

I think the forum should organise an exhibit there of their bikes though.

My remark about an active site proves the point as a lot of you will be busy elsewhere, i wish you safe riding.

However if there is anyone who would like to show, just email me, if there is enough of you and you are happy to do so i can arrange you altogether into a club space, just let me know if you prefer a club site or would like to exhibit as an indivdual, discretion guaranteed.

We will be at the Bristol Classic Bike show on the VJMC stand, so come along and say hello, we will also have flyers and entry forms for the Japfest if you are thinking of entering your bike.

Be good to meet some of you.

I take it that you have never watched the film "Hostel"?

I have, but it's not really like that. I thought it was a soft porno when I first started watching it, then it soon went down hill :).

I'm actually going there on the 21st, but am racing at Mallory on the 15th, so still can't make this show, otherwise I would have gladly brought my race bike down.

That is a shame Luders, your bike would have looked good at the show, we all ready have over 100 classic Japanese bikes booked in but still have room for more.

We do have some very nice strokers on our stand at Bristol this year including two newly finished restorations.

Hi Nick, I have a 1990 KR1-B2, 1990 KR1S-C2 & a 1990 ZXR750-H2 (in bits at the moment but should be finished in time) that I'm sure I'd be able to get to the show if your still looking for any of these models.
There are all good clean original examples in totally standard trim.(including exhaust systems)
I can forward photos if you'd like.
90 KR1S :P
90 ZXR750H2 :P
2012 Z1000SX
