Just bought this, I heard it's been owned by a forum member previously? Any history or info would be great.

Welcome to the forum =D>

Where are you based and where did you buy the bike from?

It looks nice, I don't think I have seen it before, but someone on here will recognise it :)

Cheers,
Bernie :)

Hi Bernie,

I live about 10 miles north of York and I got the bike locally from a lad that lives a few miles over, friend of a friend called Dan. I'm hoping to put it as much back to standard as I can given what bits are around now that might be a bit of a tall order!

What are your plans for the bike?

On the bottom of the reg plate it's got a little KR-1S.co.uk badge..

I'm going to get it roadworthy for next year, hopefully have the tail unit back to standard, and see how it goes then planning to strip it over the next winter to refurb it and give it a respray.

Only issues at the moment is I'm not sure what's missing at the back. I've got some complete rear footrest hangers coming, a pillion seal and a sprocket cover as that's missing. Needs a rear shock re-build and a battery, has no pillion seat locking mech at all.

Only things not needed for MoT time but I want to sort, left fairing to frame bracket isn't original and it'd be nice to put it on standard end cans. Thinking I might as well go out and start trying to dig up hens teeth in the garden!..

I'm going to get it roadworthy for this year and have some fun on it, then try and improve it a bit over the next winter. Having some trouble with bits and information but the stuff on this site's already helped a lot!

Cheers Steve, this forum is a lifeline with bikes like these! I've always had Yams so new to fixing up a Kawa.. Been getting plenty of help and info and the credit card is already emptying into Ebay!

Well it's had a part top end rebuild and about four hundred quid thrown at it and I'm not sure where it went! Looking a bit better though I think. Need to get out and ride it now!
