At Last......Putting it back together

Hi Guys and Galls,

Following on from my first post about my New (old) bike.......
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6749&hilit=500bernie

I don't have anything left to polish, so I thought I would start a new post chronicling its eventual assembly (still saving for the bodywork repairs/respray).

I have brought the frame back into the garage so that I can put it back together in comfort (it is a bit chilly and cramped in the shed)

If I get some time tonight the fresh wheels with refurbished discs and Ti polished fixings will be going on....

I will keep adding as it progresses (anyone who knows me will know that this will not be quick)

Cheers
Bernie :)

Bernie stop now, at this point in time , my bike looks OK , but as your build progresses my bike will lok like an oily rag!

Great first pictures, will it be finished by Christmas? Because if so you can put firecracker red and silver baubles and tinsel on it and just leave it in your lounge till spring

Steve

Hi Steve,

The main question would be "Which Christmas?", with my track record 2016 would be a good bet #-o

Can't wait to get the engine back in, it has been sat on the worktop since its rebuild :(

The Fat Tw@t bike may be more appropriate, my leathers dont fit me anymore
Or the Lenny Henry bike, bearing in mind how many premier inn rooms it has been in :D

Hi Guys,

I have had another look in the manual, and it looks like the thin spacer goes on the brake calliper side, but the drawing is not fantastic.

Could someone have a look and confirm this please?

Cheers,
Bernie :)

Thanks Martin :)

Progress at last

All I need to do is remember where I put all the fixing bolts/screws.

Cheers
Bernie :)
