Hi Steve

I am not expecting mine to produce as much power as Gary's beast
There are quite a few differences between both the bikes, they are both Stan Stevens 300s but Gary's is a KR1 top end reworked by Mick Abbey, mine is a KR1S.
Gary had Martin go to town on the crankcases, Vforce3 reeds, lightened flywheel, a Zeeltronic and bored out carbs.
Mine has not had any work done to the crankcases, it has standard reeds, lightened flywheel, a Zeeltronic and bored out carbs.
I am not expecting to be able to get out on the bike until July at the earliest (unless I sneak out for a quick blast up the road while the Missus is out).

I will post as soon as I get the parts fitted.

Cheers
Bernie :)

Great to see you are grindin away again. Dont the staff at the Premier inn question your black thumbs and index finger when you check out?
You forgot to say your engine is by far the shinyest by far!
Ill still be inerested in the power outputs , Im scared stiff of taking mine on a dyno ( they do a £10 run with a Dyno Jet at my local bike shop once a year) id be concerned it would nip up.

Hi Steve,
I am pleased to say that I have never had any comments regarding obvious shortcomings in my personal hygiene regime, I use SLIG (an abrasive waterless hand cleaner, or a blob of lurpak with some salt). I do hope that the missus never sees this
I also have a philosophical and fatalistic view of life and of two stroke motorbikes, we all die sometime and they all go BANG sometime :-k :-k :-k

I tried the Zeeltronic the other day, when I started up the bike for the first time in about 12 weeks, she started and ran really well, both pipes heated up equally and the pickup on the revs was great.

Roll on the good weather.....

Cheers
Bernie :)

Looks great though Bernie! Fingers crossed for good weather soon, mine needs a run and some cobwebs shaking out.

That looks absolutely amazing. Are the grey brake calipers the ones that were polished in the earlier post?

Hi Ian
No, the polished ones are a spare set that are being prepared for anodising (gunmetal grey), I managed to damage the paint finish one the rear calliper by spilling brake fluid on it, most people wouldn't notice it but I am fussy and I don't want it to happen again, hence the anodising project.
The callipers are nearly ready now, as soon as they are finished I will post some photos.
Cheers
Bernie :)
