Freebie KR1!

Post by KR1Lee »

Hi guys,
Just received this KR1 from a friend for free today. It needs a complete strip and rebuild, the engine is seized. I haven't decided how far to go with it yet. It was registered in April 1990 and last taxed in 2000. it's been 23 years since i last had my KR1-S so bare with me i'll be asking lots of questions! Any comments are more than welcome.

Just get it up and running, then take it from there.

Out of curiosity, is there a work shop manual available for these or do i get busy with the camera?

Unless you remember everything from 23 years ago, taking pictures will probably help 8) . The manual is good, but it doesn't show how every single piece goes together. Otherwise, you may be able to get it back together using the manual and the parts catalogue. Let us know how you get on!

James
