Tandem Twin Evolution

Post by StrokerBoy »

OK, it's very early days yet. KR250A frame and swingarm, ZXR400 USD front end with risers, KR1 rear wheel and brake. Imagine if the KR-1 hadn't happened  and they'd continued to develop the original design instead - that's what I'm aiming for.

More or less. It'll still look like an old KR when it's finished hopefully. I'll probably have some exhausts made up specially 'cos I'm hoping to tune or bore the motor too.

Here's a Japanese KR modified along the lines I'm thinking of - cut-down standard bodywork, RGV forks wheels and brakes, custom pipes, big radiator etc :

The amount of progress made since the last pic to this one only looks about 5 minutes worth, but in fact it's about, erm, 5 minutes...

Been distracted with the Diff'rent Strokers thing, the TZR, work, illness, life in general...

Just threw the bodywork on at the weekend to make it look like I've done something lately. Note the single-seat cowl and the blanking plates where the indicators should be. Looks nearly finished eh ? Also got the new rear disc fitted (cheers RedDevil :D ) plus an old rear tyre to make it easier to move around without dinging the rim.
