Nearly Completed KR1S

Post by Hutch »

Just thought you might like to see my nearly completed KR1S which I bought just after Xmas. Full engine rebuild, strip cleans and paint! Just a few small jobs left to do!

You've made me very jealous. I've had mine nearly 2 years now and haven't done half of that!

I do plan to have it on the road very shortly though with a daytime MOT and track bodywork. Then I will need to try and find time to repair the plastics and get them painted

Needed to crack on with this as just been offered my next project bike at a price I can't turn down from a guy at work. It's not green though but still 2-stroke. RD350 YPVS hybrid, not a lot to do to it really though, just strip and check motor etc as was overheating and been stood for a few years. Will post pics if anyone is interested and I am allowed to:-)

Not an LC Frame, just a nice YPVS.

Here you go!

Hi Hutch
Nice bike,
I like the standard white/red or Kenny Roberts colours best.
Cheers

Thats a nice looking YPVS, all I ever get offered are shonky old mopeds, I keep waiting for someone to mention a stroker for sale.
Doesn't look like there's a lot to do to it either, whats your plan for it?

It has been stood for about 7 years as he parked it up when it started overheating. Plan is to simply check it over, find out why it was overheating and that's about it really. Like I say it was a guy at work that offered it to me for a price I couldn't say no to!
