finally got it all back together - will finish it off as and when i get time
over the winter
will put one of my good shocks on for m.o.t. and if it passes/runs ok
will get existing one re-cond.
guess i will then possibly look for some s pipes
this was taken inside so a bit of reflection from glass

finally got it finished
set off for mot this morning - bricking it on 2 counts - would it get me
there and back (first time on the road for 5 years) - and would it pass
got about half a mile and pulled into a layby to give it a look over and
petrol pissing out the r/h carb so aborted the mission
cleaned them out twice, float height ok and valves not worn but
quite a bit of crud in them each time so think i'll fit a couple of
in-line filters unless anyone can suggest anything else.
still - seemed to go ok apart from that

dont talk to me about carbs i have had mine off and on so many times now, But i think im there, I used some inline filters and all seems okay, Best way to check yer carbs for leaks i found is set the tap to prime, start the bike warm it up give it some welly so that the valves are openning, then leave it on prime for a bit, itll spring a leak if its there, Did it to me the problem was that it was next morning before i found out and a whole tank of fuel was on the floor LOL good job i dont smoke!

KR1 Man calling. Now, that looks lovely, saw one once in red/black with white wheels, but the blue definitley goes better. Just one small question though, is it the same blue as used in certain green/white models? Best regards, KR1 Man.
RD350 LC YPVS. Also grandson Declan's KR1 with ZXR black/purple paintjob/ KR1-s upgrades and max polishing

think the green/black design would lend itself to quite a few
variations as it suits the bikes lines so well
i used a peugeot blue which keeps the cost down over using bike
paints
to anyone considering spraying a bike i would say getting the
colour / design is easy. the hard bit is getting the lacquer/gloss finish.
with aerosols its nigh on imposssible - sprayed my LC loads of times and
had same problem
if you want a good finish would suggest you get a pro to lacquer
for you
however i just want this bike as a presentable hack so i can keep my others clean as i'm sick of cleaning them every week

tried again -but petrol pissing out still when engine was running - was ok
on prime
decided to go for it in hope it would cure itself on the way but no
such luck so aborted again but got 12 miles on the clock
stripped carbs again and now seems ok on prime and running so
try again next week
