Looking good (as usual) 8)

got one of those wee engines a while ago :P :D

cant wait to start fitting it - but I will have to as I need to finish the rebuild that I have started (race bike with lights  ).

It will be a proper job yours, I will try and build mine so it can swap with the standard engine which might not work :?

you'll have to come to the tracks to hear it :)

exhaust is adapted. had to cut it 7 times to twist it in the right direction (and cutting made it also far more easier to get rid off 2 huge dents).

My guess is.....a welder!
Is the saying something like"Don't mistake the container for the content"?
Or is everything to be judged on looks?

well, wish I had a TIG, but if I ever buy one, it will be one that also can weld Alumnium, and they are way to expensive for me at the moment.

and you're right, for the moment it looks like crap but it does the job

finishing it is for when I now everything is working ok and the effort isn't wasted .

put on a radiator today : from a TDM850.

might be a good alternative for a KR1 to, allthough it might be a bit too wide.

pipes are where they should be, and it's twice as thick as a standard one.

measures :

TDM : 39 x 19.5 x 3.5

KR1 : 35 x 23.5 x 1.5

took me about a month, just to get the kick on :?

kick shaft was inside the frame, and just mm's under the frame. made a support that bolts into the frame, with a teflon "bush-bearring" inside, trapped shaft to get the forces from one side to the other, and with a sleeve over it so they stay where they have to be.

silencers are finished. all homemade.

volume of both is a bit bigger than the original Kwak one, in an attempt to get it as silent as possible. Didn't go for one big one as I didn't have a aluminium tube big enough.

still need to make a bracket to support them.

like the look.

surely the Y section would 'silence' quite a bit of the sting as well. Its the first split in a 2T exhuast that I have seen. Hope it works for you.

I've seen some Aprilia RS50's use this system - purely for pose value (for the Aprilia that is).
Also found using that ceramic exhaust bandage makes a big difference to the volume too. I have nikons and they're quieter than some standard KR's
