Hello new round here but not yet a 250 Owner

Post by mini-mad-josh »

Hi all,
Im new around here and looking to join the KR250 fold, I’d like to build a race replica so I’m on the hunt for a bare frame, rolling frame or a project. If anyone comes across, or has anything please get in touch.

Thanks Josh

Welcome to the forum Josh, good hunting the KRs are about as rare as you get, it would be great to see a full from scratch project in this section.
Cheers

Hello Josh,
I’m new here also.
I have seem some parts and even complete bikes on Yahoo Japan.
I have recently disassembled my bike and in search of some parts.
I understand that parts are hard to come by.
Anyone have a source for right side crank damper seals?

Hi Josh.

Depending on your eventual plans for it, it may be worth considering the red/black one on Ebay. Considering the eye-watering prices that particular dealer usually asks for stuff, that's not actually a bad price. You'd presumably be getting a complete-ish running registered bike as a starting point.

It's plainly not a "1989 B2" as advertised. It's missing the LH mid-fairing (they're the hardest bit of bodywork to find) and bellypan, it has bar-mounted mirrors (should be fairing-mounted on an A2) and it has a few scuffs, tears, dents and scars. The silencer heatshield is present. The video shows it initially running on one and then the other pot kicks in a bit later, that's common !

It'd be a shame if it got resprayed green/white though.

Motorcycle Giant in Shepherds Bush has one. They are looking for about £2.5k. Its been around for a while, so being winter, they are probably open to a deal.
