Danny
Do you want only the main things like front fork legs complete or every part seperate in weight.

Re: Restoring a kr1s
your choice Jarno
probably single fork leg as an assembly if thats without oil stated so.
wheel rims bare but painted with bearings is sensible
and bolts M10 and over
How much lighter is a KR-1 wheel or frame is where Im thinking this would be interesting.

Re: Restoring a kr1s
Interesting - thanks for the info Jarno.
Yes - that makes sense Jan, but it would still be fairly easy to buy a 'legal' used bare frame or a complete wreck and then swap the components over from a stolen bike. I suspect that many would-be thieves are not keen on this method due to the amount of work involved - no 'easy' money to be made there!JanBros wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 10:13 pm we've discussed this before.
you can never ever buy a numbered frame, you always have to put your frame number in the new frame. after all, you only buy a new frame because your old one is no longer useable.
if you could buy a numbered frame, theft would be too easy.
Regards,
James

When i wil be working on the bike again i wil weigh the parts and let you know.
First i must get a very good scale.

Re: Restoring a kr1s
I got some digital fishing/luggage scales (hang from a hook)
from local car accessories parts store - capacity up to 45kg for only £7
good for awkward shaped objects too large for bathroom scale footprint
Aprilia RS250 rear wheel with disk and cush drive less strap 7.480kg
