KR1-S fully restored in France

Hi

I'm a 29 older french guy who rides on various 2 wheels. I was mechanic and now I'm pro painter. Like a lot of french, my english is not as good as I want...

I've bought 2 Kawasaki Kr1-S and started to restore one a few months ago.
Now, mechanic is finished et the Kr ride very well.
A lot of parts are new, like top end motor, clutch, chain, tires, brake pads and lines.
I have to finish this project with a complete paint work with original sheme. (in a few weeks)

For the second, I plan 3OOcc strocker kit, handmade sport exhausts, ohlins rear shock, front inversed fork (like RGV one) and homemade complete fairing kit with original tank.

Maybe have you got an idea the price I can ask for a fully restored in mint original conditions like the first?

Looks like you have done a great job... well done...

Where abouts in France are you? I keep thinking about taking my KR over to Le Mans weekend one day

Hello, & welcome. Pleased to see another kr rebuilt. As for price, thats a mystery, others on here may give you a better guide than me. Have a look for one of "Corky's" recent posts where he was going to sell his for under

£2000.

I would have thought nearer £2500 but sadly thats looking for a very small market. Alan.

price depends on lot's off things, mostly what country you live in. In Belgium for example , nobody is interested in small bikes, and certainly not in strokers, so overhere they are still worth shit

I need your help for the paint shem(??) on the fairing...
- Original version like the first: kawa green, pearl white, blue and yellow?
- Black - green - yellow (for the number plates)
- or an actual paint: full green with black bellypan, big white kawasaki logo on it, small black KR-1S logo on a green tank, white number plates?? like on MotoGP??

This week I've worked on the fairing of the 2nd KR' that was in my garage.
I repaired all the cracks, stripes and even a hole...
A lot a labour is still waiting me (to sand, to sand, to sand, to spay primer, to sand, to sand... to spray first color, to mask, to spray 2nd color ...pfffffffffff) but the 16 years old fairing really needed care.

For exemple: the bellypan...
cracks welded, hole repaired with 2K epoxy glue and some "special plastic" mastic for achieve.

ready to be sand again and sprayed.
