| Just checked TZ discs are 297mm so stock 300mm KR-1S do the job. KR-1 are 290mm from memory.

| I know and they are a lot lighter than KR-1S. I am fitting a TZ250 front end to the KR using Spondon adjustable yokes. TZ250 discs were 289mm in the early years but went to 298 later. Still used the same calipers.

I don't understand why you want to upgrade your suspension with old stuff
use a ZX6 '03-04 front. the suspension is unbelevably good , brakes are too good : I use 310 mm discs , but originaly it also has only 280mm (and will still be very very very good) discs if you want to save weight

Jan
TZ forks are lighter ('95). TZ calipers ('99)are lighter. Yes they are older but they are already sprung and valved for a bike of an appropriate weight. A ZX636 is about 80kg heavier I would have to revalve and spring the forks. So whilst I agree that a ZX6 is a newer machine I remain to be convinced that the solution is superior to the TZ route I am following.
Plus I wouldn't consider compromising my machine by fitting a component of a diesel

If you havent already sold them martin would you mind weighing one of them for me? It doesnt have to be terribly accurate, just after a ballpark.
From one martin to another...
