hey everyone,ive got 2 complete 84 model kr 250 2 strokers...was thinking about selling them but am now getting excited about restoring them,got heaps of parts,i think s barrels,one is together and in reasonable nick,and the other is stripped.
am i fighting an uphill battle to get these going?

Welcome to the forum.
I think most people here will encourage you to restore them, myself included.
My knowledge sits with the late 1S, but you will find enough people here willing to help, offer advice and encourage you along to getting these lovely classic bikes restored.
Get some pictures up of what you have as a start.

Hi, and welcome to the forum mate.
As long as one of them is pretty much complete, and youve got the second one for spares then your in pretty good shape to get at least one going, so I say go for it.
The main problem with these is the lack of availability of new pistons. 2mm over-sized pistons for KMX125's measure up the same size but are a little bit heavier (about 15g each from memory), but that could probably be balanced out. I bought a pair for mine, but still havn't got round to fitting them yet. The anti-dive system on the front forks tend to seize up after sitting unused for many years, but can be rebuilt or just blanked off. They are actually quite a nice little bike to ride (quite nimble, yet still sure footed), and get plenty of looks on the road as they're somewhat unique.
